When I’m behind the camera, I’m not just standing there taking pictures — I’m right there with you. I get as nervous as the person about to propose. I notice the way a mom’s heart softens as she cuddles her toddler, grateful to finally be in front of the camera instead of behind it. I love the way people start to relax and have fun the moment they forget the camera’s even there. That’s the magic I want to hold on to — the real moments that feel like they belong to you.

Photography, for me, isn’t about perfection. It’s about slowing down in an already fast-paced world. If you invite me in, I’ll make our time together worth it — helping you feel at ease, maybe laugh a little, and trust that your memories are in good hands.

I didn’t grow up with a camera around.
Back in Cuba, I think there are maybe three pictures of me as a baby. That’s probably why photos mean so much to me now — I know what it’s like to wish you had more to look back on.

I’ve always been drawn to the arts — I loved to draw, I loved to sing. I accidentally ended up in a 35mm film photography class my freshman year of high school and almost transferred out. But something in me said to stay. I was the only freshman in that class, and I’m so glad I didn’t leave — it opened a door I never imagined would lead me here.

Years later, it was my husband who finally convinced me it was worth taking the leap. I’m so glad I listened.
